As the recent report published by Relocation.com shows, there are five most popular states which are often chosen by the people moving or relocating in the country. Major National Consumer Moving Survey was the main topic in which the names of these states are also mentioned. According to the percentage of people moving to these states, the names are, California (6%), Florida (5%), Texas (4%), New York (3%) and Georgia (2%).

The study also reveals some other analysis. As the press release of the survey shows, there are several reasons behind these moving and it also sheds some light on the present situation of the real estate market as it stands. The study reveals that, there are two pressing economic reasons behind the relocation that are undertaken to these five states. One is the change of job and the other is the change in lifestyle for retirement or sudden downsizing.

The same survey also indicates to the worsening situation in the housing market of the country. It also shows how the credit market is tightening gradually making it a real challenge to be owner of a house.

That is why the study found most of the movers are relocating from one rental condition to the other including only a small percentage of 15% who have got a new home. At the same time it also indicates that the percentage of home owners becoming renters is greater than the reverse.

Along with getting information about the top five states that are mostly preferred by the movers, there are some other Top Under Rated Cities in U.S. which may also serve as great places for moving.
