Vacation is a time when you and your family unwind yourselves. Hence a vacation is always crammed with joys and fun. But when you come back home, you of course, will not expect surprises. Hence to make your vacation and home secured, here are few things that you can follow.
Do not carry cash. Either carry a debit or credit card or change your cash to traveler’s check. Make a list of your necessary medications and pack them.
Do not forget your mobile and charger. Pack them as well. Pack your child proof safety devices. Enhance your knowledge a little about the traffic rule of the city you are traveling to.
Sleep well before the night you travel. Clean your yard and leave a car at your yard. Make sure that your yard no more has a hiding place.
Both the outside and inside of your house should be clear well lighted. Ask one of your neighbors to keep an eye on your house.
Forward all your calls to your mobile. Give the number of your mobile to your friends so that they can contact you in case of any emergency.
Unplug all your electrical appliances leaving your freezer and refrigerator. Lock all the doors and windows. Pull the sliding glasses.
Turn off water in your toilet, washing machine, geyser, dish wash and all other water connection.
Check your packing list. Remember to check for: jumper cables, gloves, car jack, first aid, towel, maps, food, blankets and repair tool. Give a look at your home owner’s insurance policy also.
Drive safely during your journey and take breaks at regular intervals. Avoid cell phone calls during your drive. Keep your child and pet in restraint.
Check that your gas tank should be full. For added safety and security wear your seat belt while driving.
